Blog #10
I have 71% of the 1-500 words type, 14% of the 501-3,000 words type, and 15% of the more than 3,000 words type. It was kind of surprised me because I thought my writing had more everyday words. I think I am happy with my result at the moment, but I need to improve more and more to be in English 1301 class next semester. I would like to change most of my content words because I want my writing to sound more academy. However, it is really hard to remember these words because they are long and complicated to me.

More academic words help your essay to sound more "academic". Make a conscious effort to include 2 or 3 new words in your writing each time. After awhile, you will do it without thinking. =)
ReplyDeleteI also agree with you, Mai. I think it is hard to remember these words. However, when we use academic vocabularies in our essays. It makes you become professional in your English. I think you do better in your life. I really admire you when you study in English. Would you give me some tips how to improve writing English as soon as possible because we are going to have a final in three weeks. I am so stressful to deal with it. Please help me, my best friends.
